Safety is one of our core values and is non-negotiable. We believe that every employee, visitor, or contractor has the fundamental right to work in a safe environment. We also believe that it is our responsibility to protect the environment for the benefit of future generations.

Our Commitment

We commit to providing a safe working environment for all our employees, contractors, and visitors by:

• Ensuring a thorough risk assessment process is in place for all activities, and actions are implemented to reduce the impact of any hazards to as low as reasonably practicable.
• Giving all employees, as a minimum, the training necessary to allow them to carry out their work without risk of harm to themselves, others or the environment.
• We expect all locations, to not only comply with local legal and other compliance requirements, but to exceed these wherever possible.
• Working towards having an accredited EHS management system in all locations.
• Promoting an open and honest culture where employees feel safe, valued and respected and where they are consulted with and able to participate in the improvement of their own and the wider environment.
• To continuously improve in all aspects of EHS management system and performance.

We maintain environmentally responsible operations compliant with applicable laws and global corporate standards, and seek to continuously improve these operations, by:

• Setting quantitative and ambitious targets related to our environmental footprint.
• Identifying and mitigating risks related with climate change.
• Adopting globally recognized standards for carbon footprint management and reduction.
• Sharing the best practices across all AG TRANSPORT production facilities to limit noise emissions and other environmental and industrial hygiene issues.
• Improving raw material and energy consumption efficiency through capacity building programs and we urge our suppliers to do the same.
• Working to increase the environmental awareness of AG TRANSPORT employees, suppliers, and consumers.

Targets

• A global management system accredited to both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 will be in place at all AG TRANSPORT locations by end of Q1/2022
• A year-on-year reduction in overall Total Recordable Injury.
• The targets related with climate change will be approved by Sustainability Committee and announced by the end of 2022.

Scope of Application

This policy will apply to all AG TRANSPORT facilities.

Review Mechanism

This policy will be reviewed by EHS Director on an annual basis to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of AG TRANSPORT, our management systems and our key stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

Accountability for Health and Safety starts at the top, by committing to this policy, the signatories demonstrate their role in supporting and endorsing the continual improvement of environmental, health and safety performance throughout AG TRANSPORT with the setting and reviewing of challenging targets.

Every AG TRANSPORT employee has the right and the responsibility to stop work and report work processes which they believe may result in injury or harm to themselves, their colleagues, any other person on AG TRANSPORT premises, or the environment. Where this is done in good faith, there should be no fear of reprisal or retaliation.

Sanctions

Where targets are not met, or there are breaches in compliance, investigations will take place to establish the root cause, and suitable remedial actions with appropriate timescales implemented.
